Rituals, worships an offerings such as kavadi, cakuk, pal kudam, rolling around the temple, and ect. ect are to attaint self realization or to pay back to God on their fullfilled request and prayers? Just wondering as the numbers are increasing from years to years. Does God accept all these rituals and fullfilled their prayers? At my place there is a family whereby they do 'sacrifice goat prayer' each year and the ladies in the family carry 'pal kudam' (milk pot) every year, and all the siblings are happily married and the family is very happy with wealth and health, on the other hand there is a family whereby the each member of the family will carry out their duty on every spritual prayers. The sisters will carry 'pal kudam' (milk pot), brothers will carry kavadi, the mother will do 'madi piccai' (begging at temple gate), the grandma will do rolling around temple. But recently one of the brother losses his two hands on an accident at work place, another brother and a sister divorced, the other two sisters are not married. The mother losses her leg of diabetes and the father died on hear attack. Quite confious of the benefit of the offering and prayers. Any comments?
These prayers and offerings are carried out since many thousand years ago, when there were no other religions on the earth. If God doesnt answer their prayers, they wud never continue it untill now.
